Role & responsibilities
The main requirements of the role are as follows:
1. Accounts Payable: Manage end to end accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, monitoring payment schedules and ensure timely payment to vendors.
Processing of Employee Reimbursement, Travel Expenses and ensuring the claims are as per policy.
2. Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently in the accounting system. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
3. Statutory Compliance: Strong at GST, TDS and other statutory compliances.
Ensure accuracy of computation, payments, returns preparation and filling of GST, TDS and other statutory compliance as applicable.
Knowledge of processing ESI/PT/PF/Statutory Bonus/Gratuity and related labor compliances.
4. Reconciliation: Prepare Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger Reconciliation and experience in preparing reconciliation of vendor, creditor ledger balances.
5. Audit Support: Prepare and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits. Collaborate with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and address any queries/findings.
6. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, highlighting key insights and potential areas for improvement. Assist with month-end closing activities, accruals process and prepare relevant supporting documentation.
7. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
8. Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with the team to assist in preparation of quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts.
9. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, investigating variances and trends to support management in making informed business decisions.
10. Compliance: Stay current with accounting regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to local and international financial reporting requirements.
11. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and improve financial controls.
12. RBI/FEMA Returns: Prepare necessary documents for filing of RBI and FEMA Returns
Preferred candidate profile
Education: Commerce Graduate/Post Graduate, CA Inter, MBA Finance
Experience:
1. Five (5) years of experience in accounts payable or similar role in Finance Department
2. Working experience of Tally ERP9 or any other accounting package
Strong experience of working with Excel and knowledge of advanced excel formulas would be added advantage
