Key Responsibilities:

ETP Operation:

1. Effluent Treatment Plant Operation:
   
• Operate and maintain the ETP equipment, including pumps, clarifiers, filtration units, and chemical dosing systems.
• Monitor and optimize treatment processes (e.g., coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Add appropriate chemicals (coagulants, flocculants) to treat effluent.
2. Sampling and Testing:
   
• Collect effluent samples at various treatment stages for laboratory analysis.
• Ensure effluent quality meets discharge standards (pH, TSS, BOD, COD, TDS, etc.).
• Prepare and submit reports on effluent quality to regulatory bodies.
3. Sludge Management:
   
• Oversee sludge treatment and disposal, ensuring proper handling, dewatering, and disposal as per environmental norms.
4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
   
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues such as equipment breakdowns, clogging, and system imbalances.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
   
• Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations regarding effluent discharge.
• Maintain detailed records of effluent quality, chemical usage, and system performance for regulatory audits.

ZLD Operation:

1. ZLD System Operation:
   
• Manage and optimize the ZLD systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO), evaporators, crystallizers, and dryers, ensuring maximum water recovery and zero discharge.
• Monitor performance of recovery units and manage operational settings to achieve optimal water recycling.
2. Solid Waste Management:
   
• Manage solid by-products like salts and sludge generated from the ZLD process.
• Ensure proper disposal or recycling of solid waste according to regulatory standards (e.g., incineration, landfill).
3. Water Quality Monitoring:
   
• Regularly monitor water quality parameters such as TDS, TSS, pH, and hardness to ensure high-quality treated water for reuse.
• Conduct routine testing to verify compliance with reuse standards.
4. Energy and Chemical Management:
   
• Optimize energy consumption in energy-intensive processes (e.g., evaporation).
• Oversee the storage, handling, and usage of chemicals for ZLD processes, ensuring safety and compliance.
5. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
   
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of ZLD equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues such as membrane fouling, scaling, and equipment malfunction to minimize downtime.

General Responsibilities:

• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate logs of daily operations, water quality tests, chemical usage, and waste management activities.
• Generate and submit performance and compliance reports to management and regulatory authorities.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols in all plant operations.
• Manage hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, sludge) and ensure proper disposal in compliance with environmental guidelines.
