Sr. Manager/AGM/DGM/GM -- Supply Chain Management

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage activities related to tactical purchasing, cost containment measures.
• Develop sourcing strategy for Raw Material, Bought-Out Items & Sub Contractual Items.
• Strategic implementation of Warehouse Management.
• Evaluate vendors' manufacturing capabilities through on-site visits and assessment of key vendor performance criteria as & when required.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders in line with general policy guidelines of the company.
• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements (Supplier OTD).
• Implement new or improved supply chain & outsourcing processes.
• Continuously work towards increasing outsourcing capacity and mfg. capabilities.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify or qualify new suppliers.
• Confer with planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products as per plan.
• Manage material requirements planning, inventory control measures.
• Analyse inventories, implement ways to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize process lead times.
• Rate negotiations and price finalization to meet internal bench mark of rate.
• Build long-term relationship with business partners for strategizing growth plans of business.

Desired Canddiate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 22 years of relevant experience in supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor relations.
• Proficient with supply chain management software, ERP systems, SAP and other relevant tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability and environmentally responsible practices in the supply chain
