Head of Acquisition and Portfolio Management (Real Estate)
Job Overview:
Seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to lead the acquisition and portfolio management activities within our real estate division. The Head of Acquisition and Portfolio Management will oversee the identification, evaluation, acquisition, and optimization of real estate assets to maximize returns and align with the company's long-term goals.
This role requires a strong combination of analytical expertise, market knowledge, leadership skills, and an in-depth understanding of real estate investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition Leadership:
- Develop and execute the real estate acquisition strategy in alignment with company objectives.
- Identify high-potential investment opportunities, including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
- Lead market research and feasibility studies to evaluate potential acquisitions.
- Conduct due diligence, financial modeling, and risk assessments for new investments.
- Negotiate purchase agreements, financing, and other transaction terms to secure optimal deals.
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the performance and optimization of the existing real estate portfolio.
- Develop asset management strategies to enhance property value and returns.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for portfolio assets, ensuring they align with financial and operational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for divestiture, redevelopment, or repositioning of underperforming assets.
Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with the executive team to align acquisition and portfolio strategies with organizational goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, investors, developers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities in the real estate sector.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals in acquisition, asset management, and analytics.
Financial Oversight:
- Prepare and manage acquisition budgets, forecasts, and investment reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial guidelines and external regulations.
- Present investment proposals and performance updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- 15-20 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, portfolio management, or asset management, with a proven track record of success.
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, market analysis, and real estate valuation techniques.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in real estate management software, financial tools, and databases.
- Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
