Position: Head of Portfolio Management Sales
Company Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our equity portfolio management sales function. The Head of Portfolio Management Sales will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational success of our portfolio management business, focusing on delivering exceptional client outcomes and scaling our Assets Under Management (AUM). This leadership position is ideal for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of equity markets, a proven track record of success, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with premium clients, including UHNIs and HNIs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive business development for the Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) markets, achieving ambitious sales targets.
2. Expand the premium client base by acquiring high-revenue platforms and key UHNI/HNI clients.
3. Design and execute lead generation campaigns, including events and partnerships, to accelerate customer acquisition and revenue growth.
4. Build and nurture relationships with intermediaries and direct clients, ensuring a customer-centric approach.
5. Lead ongoing education and training for sales teams, equipping them with the knowledge needed to excel in the PMS space.
6. Own and manage national sales operations, targeting the development of PMS business to 10,000 Cr AUM by 2026.
7. Spearhead the growth of our PMS offering, aiming to rank among the top 20 PMS providers by 2025, top 10 by 2026, and top 5 by 2027.
8. Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing portfolio management sales team.
9. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture that drives performance.
10. Provide market insights and thought leadership, guiding investment strategies aligned with market trends and risk management practices.
11. Conduct regular client reviews to align their financial goals with tailored portfolio solutions, ensuring long-term wealth creation.
12. Work closely with the broader team to enhance the multi-channel client journey and ensure performance targets are met.
13. Establish and maintain distributor tie-ups to maximize revenue streams.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA/CFA or other advanced qualifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in equity portfolio management, with at least 10-12 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving significant AUM growth and leading high-performing teams.
- Expertise in managing relationships with UHNIs/HNIs and strong market knowledge in the PMS and AIF space.
