Job Summary:

The Security Shift InCharge is responsible for managing security operations, material movement at the manufacturing plant. This includes ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and property, as well as implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

  • Leading and managing a team of security personnel, ensuring they are properly trained and motivated.
  • Delegating responsibilities effectively to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conducting regular briefings and training sessions to keep the team updated and aligned with security protocols and procedures.

2. Security Operations:

  • Monitoring and controlling access to the facility to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Conducting regular security patrols to detect any suspicious activity or breaches.
  • Responding promptly and appropriately to security incidents or emergencies as they arise.

3. Technology and Equipment:

  • Supervising security systems (such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, etc.) and addressing any technical issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring that all security equipment is properly maintained and functional to support security operations effectively.

3. Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders.

4. Emergency Response:

  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records of security activities, incidents, and responses.
  • Ensuring that all documentation is organized and up to date to support analysis, reporting, and compliance purposes.

6. Visitor and Employee Interaction:

  • Interacting in a professional manner with employees, visitors, and contractors who come to the site or facility.
  • Conducting security briefings for visitors to ensure they are aware of any relevant safety or security protocols.
  • Facilitating a positive and safe environment for all individuals present on the premises.

7. Legal Compliance:

  • Staying up to date with relevant security laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensuring that all security practices and procedures adhere to legal requirements.
  • Implementing measures to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

8. Risk Assessment:

  • Regularly assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities within the site or facility.
  • Identifying areas where security may be compromised and implementing corrective measures to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for risk reduction and management.

9. Collaboration:

  • Working closely with departments across the organization, such as IT, Human Resources, and Operations, to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Establishing channels for sharing information and intelligence regarding security threats, incidents, and best practices.
  • Partnering with departments like Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management to develop, refine, and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Coordinating with departments such as Facilities Management, IT, and Procurement to implement security measures, including physical security enhancements and technological solutions.
  • Collaborating with departments responsible for employee training, such as Human Resources or Learning and Development, to develop and deliver security awareness programs.

10. Material Movement

  • Responsibility for coordinating movement of material movement at Gate 5 & 6 , Vigilance & across entire plant .
  • Ensuring that materials are transported efficiently and effectively to support operations.
  • Monitoring and managing the flow of materials to prevent bottlenecks or delays.

11. Access Control

  • Responsibility for overseeing the movement of materials within a site or facility.
  • Ensuring that materials are transported efficiently and effectively to support operations.

12. Traffic Control

  • Managing and regulating vehicular or pedestrian traffic within a site or area.
  • Implementing measures to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, minimizing congestion and delays.

  • Coordinating with relevant authorities or personnel to address any traffic-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate with relevant experience in services (Army, Navy, Airforce).
  • Proven experience in security leadership, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Certification in security management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the copper manufacturing process is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of security technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform security patrols.

Working Conditions:

  • Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
