Job Description

We are hiring for the position of HR Manager Plant at Vform Tecnopack Limited. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead HR operations at our manufacturing plant, with a strong focus on contract labor management, compliance, workforce planning, and employee relations.

Position: Manager Plant HR
Department: HR & Administration
Location: Sadashivpet, Sangareddy
Reporting To: Senior Manager-HR Operations

Role Overview:

The HR Manager Plant is responsible for overseeing all HR functions at the manufacturing plant, with a strong focus on contract labor management. This includes workforce planning, compliance with labor laws, employee relations, contractor coordination, and overall HR operations to ensure smooth plant functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Workforce Management

  • Oversee contract labor deployment, ensuring proper workforce planning and utilization.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and labor laws.
  • Monitor contract labor attendance, wages, overtime, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure fair treatment and proper working conditions for contract workers.
  • Handle onboarding, training, and performance monitoring of contract workers.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure contractor compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

2. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Plan and execute hiring strategies for both permanent and contract employees.
  • Work with department heads to determine manpower requirements.
  • Partner with recruitment teams and contractors to fulfill labor demands.

3. Employee Relations & Welfare

  • Address employee and contract worker grievances and maintain industrial harmony.
  • Implement employee engagement programs to enhance workplace morale and productivity.
  • Ensure a smooth communication channel between management, employees, and contract workers.

4. Compliance & Labor Law Management

  • Ensure strict compliance with labor laws such as Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labor Act, PF, ESI, and other statutory regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records related to labor contracts, payroll, and compliance audits.
  • Coordinate with legal teams and government authorities for labor inspections and compliance checks.

5. Training & Development

  • Organize skill development and safety training programs for contract and permanent employees.
  • Implement career growth initiatives for skilled workers and staff.
  • Conduct awareness programs on workplace ethics, safety, and compliance.

6. Payroll, Attendance & Statutory Compliance

  • Coordinate with H.O for payroll processing for both direct employees and contract workers.
  • Monitor attendance, leave management, and overtime calculations.
  • Ensure statutory deductions and timely remittance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, etc.).

7. Health, Safety & Work Environment

  • Collaborate with the safety team to enforce workplace safety policies.
  • Ensure hygiene and welfare facilities for both permanent and contract employees.
  • Handle accident reporting and compliance with safety norms.

8. HR Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain employee and contract workforce records with a master database of the plant.
  • Prepare HR reports for management, highlighting workforce trends, attendance, and compliance status.

9. Performance Management System (PMS)

  • Develop and implement a policy framework, process flow, and KPIs for performance management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification: MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent. Local language proficiency (Telugu) is a must.
  • Experience: 8-12 years in HR, with at least 5 years in a plant/manufacturing setup managing contract labor.
  • Industry Preference: Manufacturing, Automotive, Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of labor laws, HR analytics, payroll processing, and compliance frameworks.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
