Audit Manager

Job description & Duties and Responsibilities:

Auditors are responsible for reviewing a company's financial records to ensure they are accurate and comply with legal, accounting, and tax requirements. They also perform other duties, such as:

• Risk assessment: Assess the probability of risks occurring and their potential costs to the organization
• Audit planning: Plan and conduct audits to ensure financial statements are free from material misstatement
• Report preparation: Prepare audit reports and submit them to the auditing manager
• Advisory services: Provide advice on how to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of internal auditing systems
• Compliance: Ensure that businesses manage risk and follow compliance rules
• Analytical skills: Identify issues in documentation and suggest appropriate solutions

Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation. Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings.
