Engineer - Strategic Sourcing (Fabrication) will be responsible for the sourcing, supplier development, and procurement of fabricated components. This role involves evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost optimization, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Strategic Sourcing:
• Develop and execute sourcing activities for fabricated components and assemblies.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for fabrication processes (sheet metal, machining, welding, etc.).
• Implement and maintain supplier performance metrics.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
Cost Management:
• Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and negotiations to achieve cost savings.
Quality Assurance:
• Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for cost and manufacturability.
• Manage supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, sourcing activities, and supplier performance.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management review and decision-making.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions affecting fabrication sourcing with relevant data.
Working Conditions:
• Office environment with regular visits to manufacturing facilities and supplier locations.
• May require occasional evening or weekend work based on project deadlines and operational needs.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and cost drivers.
Experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost analysis.
Proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Additional Skills:
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO, ASME, or similar.
Proficiency on ACAD and any costing software.

I am in R&D working in core products that gives satisfaction.
For R&D people also 2nd & 3rd weekends only leaves, other weeks Sunday only leave, except main Head office other plants like D6, G12, F75 foods are not good even plate also not good, basic needs food they are not taking care for people working here.in f72 plant they are keeping all goods in walking area safety less.
