Senior Coordinator - Projects

The Senior Coordinator - Projects will be responsible for planning, documenting, and coordinating agricultural value addition projects. This role requires strong project management skills, coordination with institutional partners, engagement with funding agencies, handling procurement of specialized equipment, and tracking suitable government project calls for proposals. The candidate should have experience in agri-value addition, stakeholder engagement, and funding mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Development & Documentation

• Write detailed project reports for agri-value addition projects, covering technical, financial, and operational aspects.
• Develop funding proposals and project concept notes for submission to NABARD, IFAD, and other funding institutions.
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards and maintain project records.

2. Identifying Project Funding Opportunities

• Regularly monitor government websites and portals for relevant project calls for proposals (CFPs) related to agriculture, rural development, and value addition.
• Identify funding opportunities from ministries, NABARD, IFAD, APEDA, and other government bodies.
• Prepare proposal submissions and follow up with concerned agencies.

3. Coordination with Equipment Vendors

• Identify and coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors for purchasing machinery related to food processing, storage, and value addition.
• Assess technical specifications, pricing, and feasibility before procurement.
• Ensure proper documentation, including purchase agreements, quotations, and installation schedules.

4. Institutional Partnerships & Research Coordination

• Liaise with ICAR, Agricultural Universities, and Research Institutions to incorporate research-based innovations into projects.
• Collaborate with partner institutions for joint initiatives, technical expertise, and capacity-building programs.

5. Funding & Financial Coordination

• Work with NABARD, IFAD, and other financial institutions to secure project funding and understand funding mechanisms.
• Prepare and submit necessary project documentation for grants, loans, and financial support programs.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements and maintain regular communication with funding agencies.

6. Coordination with Consultants & Project Teams

• Engage and coordinate with sector experts, consultants, and technical advisors for project planning and execution.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and suggest solutions to ensure successful implementation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Qualification: Masters degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project coordination, agriculture value addition, or funding proposals.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of agri-processing technologies, procurement procedures, and project funding mechanisms.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in liaising with government agencies, research institutions, and funding organizations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Strong ability to write technical reports, funding proposals, and project documentation.
• Project & Funding Research: Ability to track government funding opportunities and CFPs on portals like NABARD, IFAD, APEDA, and other government websites.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in working with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), cooperatives, or agri-entrepreneurs.
• Familiarity with NABARD and IFAD funding guidelines.
• Knowledge of sustainable agriculture, food processing, and post-harvest management.
