Job Description

Job Title: Eco Design Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Eco Design Expert to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in integrating environmental considerations into the design and development of our products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that sustainability principles are embedded throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to assess the environmental impact of products and services.
Identify and evaluate eco-design principles and apply them to new product development.
Develop and implement strategies to minimize the environmental footprint of products throughout their lifecycle.
Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in product sustainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, marketing, procurement) to ensure sustainability considerations are integrated into product development processes.
Provide training and guidance to colleagues on eco-design principles and sustainability practices.
Monitor and track progress on sustainability goals and targets.
Stay informed of the latest developments in eco-design, sustainability regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in environmental engineering, Sustainable Design, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in eco-design, sustainability, or a related field.
Strong understanding of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies and tools.
Experience in applying and evaluating eco-design principles to product development.
Knowledge of sustainability regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 14001).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.
