Saxon - DevOps Engineer - Azure (3-5 yrs)

We at Saxon AI seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer with expertise in Bicep and Azure DevOps Pipelines to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for Azure services.

The role requires deep knowledge of Azure services like Container Apps, SQL Databases, Azure Networking, Private Endpoints, Front Door, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2). One must also have hands-on experience in developing and managing multi-stage YAML pipelines.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Develop and manage Azure resources using Bicep templates.

- Optimize existing IaC scripts for performance, security, and maintainability.

Pipeline Management :

- Design and implement multi-stage YAML pipelines for CI/CD in Azure DevOps.

- Automate build, test, and deployment processes for .NET applications hosted on Azure Container Apps and other Azure services.

Azure Services Administration :

- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Container Apps, SQL Databases, Azure Networking, Private Endpoints, Front Door, and ADLS Gen2.

- Ensure secure and optimized connectivity between Azure services using best practices.

Networking and Security :

- Design and implement secure Azure Networking solutions, including Virtual Networks and Private Endpoints.

- Work with WAF policies to restrict access based on IPs and Geo-Location when using Azure Front Door.

Collaboration and Automation :

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of code into production environments.

- Build and maintain scripts for automating infrastructure and application management tasks.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

- Implement monitoring and alerting for Azure resources and pipelines.

- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and pipeline-related issues.

Compliance and Best Practices :

- Ensure adherence to DevOps best practices and Azure governance policies.

- Perform regular reviews of IaC templates, pipelines, and deployed resources for improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Azure Expertise :

- Hands-on experience with Azure Container Apps, SQL Databases, ADLS Gen2, and Front Door.

- Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, including Private Endpoints and Virtual Networks.

DevOps Skills :

- Proficiency in creating and managing multi-stage YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps.

- Solid experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines for .NET or similar applications.

IaC Experience :

- Expert in writing and managing Bicep templates.

- Familiarity with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates is a plus.

Automation & Scripting :

- Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

Networking & Security :

- Knowledge of securing Azure resources with WAF policies, IP restrictions, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Key Qualifications :

- Proven experience as an individual contributor with hands-on expertise in the above technologies.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver efficient, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions.
