Manufacturing Engineer

About the role:

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in mechanical engineering processes and machinery to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating & optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient machine utilization, and maintaining the highest quality standards in the production of aerospace raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, including machining, forming, and finishing operations, to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Oversee the operation and calibration of manufacturing machinery such as furnaces, heat treatment machines, lathes, milling machines, and finishing treatment equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues, minimize downtime, and improve overall equipment performance.
• Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and jigs for manufacturing processes, ensuring precision and consistency.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that all processes meet aerospace industry standards
• Prepare detailed technical reports, including test results, process evaluations, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and R&D teams to support new product development and resolve technical challenges.
• Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends in metallurgy and aerospace materials.
• Ensure all processes and machine operations adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education:

• BE, B. Tech, BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials science.
• Hands-on experience with machining processes and tools (CNC programming is a plus).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.

Work Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering roles, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or related industries is preferred
• Experience working with aerospace materials such as nickel, cobalt, aluminium, and special alloys is a plus.
• Experience working with Heat Treatment operations is a plus.
• Freshers with good knowledge can be considered.
