Sap Ewm Consultant

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced SAP EWM Consultant with over 8 years of hands-on expertise in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of warehouse processes, supply chain management, and the integration of EWM with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, WM, and TM. This role requires a strong ability to design and implement solutions that optimize warehouse and logistics operations for clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP EWM Implementation & Configuration: Lead end-to-end SAP EWM implementations, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live. Customize SAP EWM to meet specific business needs, focusing on warehouse management, inbound and outbound processes, inventory management, and materials handling.
• Solution Design & Process Optimization: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and design effective SAP EWM solutions. Optimize warehouse and logistics processes, improving inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and throughput.
• Integration with Other SAP Modules: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP EWM with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, WM, TM, and PP. Ensure seamless data flow between SAP EWM and third-party systems.
• Warehouse Layout & Bin Management: Design and configure warehouse layout, bin structures, and putaway strategies within SAP EWM. Set up the appropriate processes for material handling, stock movements, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
• Advanced Features Configuration: Configure advanced features of SAP EWM such as cross-docking, wave management, task interleaving, slotting, and labor management to enhance warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure the smooth transition from testing to production and address any issues encountered during testing.
• User Training & Documentation: Provide training to end users on SAP EWM processes and ensure detailed documentation is created, including configuration guides, process documentation, and training materials.
• Post-Implementation Support & Troubleshooting: Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting post-implementation. Resolve issues related to EWM functionality and propose continuous improvements to the system.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business users, project managers, SAP team members, and IT teams to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Project Management Support: Participate in project planning, resource management, and progress tracking to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and according to client specifications.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay updated on SAP EWM best practices, innovations, and industry trends. Suggest and implement system enhancements to meet evolving business requirements and improve overall warehouse performance.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM implementation, configuration, and support.
• Strong expertise in SAP EWM functionality, including warehouse processes such as inbound/outbound processing, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and warehouse automation.
• In-depth knowledge of integrating SAP EWM with other SAP modules like MM, SD, WM, TM, and PP.
• Proven experience in configuring advanced SAP EWM features such as cross-docking, wave management, slotting, labor management, and task interleaving.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its impact on the EWM module.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including material flow, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency in performing data migrations and working with third-party warehouse management solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize processes.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with business users, stakeholders, and IT teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within deadlines.
• Experience in preparing and delivering end-user training, creating user manuals, and providing post-go-live support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP EWM certification is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and its capabilities related to EWM.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, robotics, AGVs) in warehouse management.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps, SAP Cloud Platform, or SAP BW/4HANA for reporting and analytics.
• Experience in managing complex warehouse operations in industries such as retail, manufacturing, logistics, or pharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of automated warehouse systems and integration with SAP EWM.
