SAP PP and QM Consultant

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SAP PP & QM Consultant with over 8 years of expertise in implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control within SAP, and the ability to deliver seamless integration with other SAP modules like MM, SD, and WM. This role will involve working with stakeholders to design, configure, and optimize business processes to achieve operational efficiency and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP PP & QM Implementation & Configuration: Lead end-to-end implementations of SAP PP and QM modules, from requirements gathering and blueprinting to configuration, testing, and go-live. Customize SAP PP and QM to align with business requirements.
• Production Planning & Scheduling: Configure production planning processes, including discrete manufacturing, repetitive manufacturing, and make-to-order production. Define master data, production order management, and capacity planning.
• Quality Management: Implement and configure the Quality Management (QM) module for quality planning, quality inspection, and quality control. Ensure quality processes integrate seamlessly with production and inventory management.
• Business Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing and quality processes to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Integration with Other SAP Modules: Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth integration of SAP PP & QM with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, WM, and FI/CO for end-to-end process optimization.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Identify issues during testing and support smooth migration from testing to production.
• User Training & Documentation: Provide training to end-users on SAP PP & QM functionalities and ensure the creation of comprehensive documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Post-Implementation Support & Troubleshooting: Offer ongoing support post-implementation, resolving user issues, performing system enhancements, and ensuring the effective functioning of SAP PP & QM modules.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other SAP consultants (MM, SD, WM, and FI/CO), business analysts, and IT teams to align SAP PP & QM modules with overall business goals.
• Project Management & Planning: Assist in project planning, tracking deliverables, managing resources, and ensuring timely delivery of projects. Support the successful deployment of projects in an Agile or waterfall environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP best practices, innovations, and industry trends. Suggest continuous improvements and system enhancements to meet evolving business needs.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP and QM module implementations, configurations, and support.
• Extensive knowledge of production planning, shop floor management, and quality management processes in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in configuring production order management, scheduling, capacity planning, and materials requirements planning (MRP) within SAP PP.
• Strong expertise in the SAP QM module, including quality planning, inspection, quality certificates, and integration with procurement and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in integrating SAP PP and QM with other SAP modules like MM, SD, WM, and FI/CO.
• Proven experience in system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting for both PP and QM modules.
• In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA or ECC and its capabilities within the PP and QM areas.
• Ability to perform data migration, including legacy system data and integration with third-party systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and propose effective solutions.
• Solid communication skills for interacting with business users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in preparing and delivering training materials, providing end-user training, and conducting workshops.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Project management skills and experience in Agile or Waterfall project environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP PP & QM certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate Production Planning & Manufacturing) is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, and its features for PP and QM modules.
• Familiarity with advanced SAP functionalities, such as Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), SAP Fiori, or SAP Cloud solutions.
• Expertise in working with manufacturing industries like automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or high-tech electronics.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, AI, and machine learning, in the context of production and quality management.
• Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), IDocs, and third-party integrations for PP & QM processes.
