SAP ABAP Consultant (5-10 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SAP ABAP Consultant with 3-5 years of experience to join our SAP technical team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP development, including RICEF objects, and a strong understanding of SAP systems.

They will work closely with functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

ABAP Development :

- Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).

- Implement Object-Oriented ABAP and performance-optimized coding practices.

- Develop ALV reports, SmartForms, SAPScripts, and Adobe Forms.

Integration and Enhancements :

- Work on enhancements using BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and Customer Exits.

- Develop and test interfaces between SAP and external systems using IDOCs, RFCs, and BAPIs.

System Support and Maintenance :

- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving ABAP-related issues in SAP systems.

- Provide technical support during SAP system upgrades and patches.

Collaboration with Functional Teams :

- Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Documentation and Quality Assurance :

- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, test cases, and end-user documentation.

- Ensure code quality through peer reviews and adherence to coding standards.

Required Skills :

- Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, including RICEF objects.

- Knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP (OOP) concepts.

- Hands-on experience with ALV reporting, SmartForms, SAPScripts, and Adobe Forms.

- Familiarity with BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.

- Basic understanding of IDOCs and integration concepts.

- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to SAP HANA and CDS Views.

- Basic understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
