Shift Engineer - Forge Production Hammer Shop

1. Oversee Shift Operations: As a Shift Incharge Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the entire production process during your shift. This includes coordinating with the Production Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations and meeting production targets.

2. Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to quality standards by conducting regular inspections, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring the performance of operators and technicians. Collaborate with the Quality Control department to address any quality issues, reduce rejections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of technicians and operators, ensuring their productivity and adherence to safe working practices. Assign tasks, provide necessary training, resolve disputes, and promote a teamwork-oriented environment to achieve team goals.

4. Production Planning and Coordination: Work in coordination with the Production Manager to plan and organize production schedules effectively. Allocate resources, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless workflow and on-time delivery.

5. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Address any technical issues and troubleshoot problems during production. Coordinate with the Maintenance department for timely maintenance and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Educational Background: A bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering is desirable. Relevant experience may compensate for the lack of formal education.

2. Proven Experience: Extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the automotive sector, with a background in supervisory roles is highly desired. Practical knowledge of precision components and familiarity with production processes is advantageous.

3. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control methods, machinery operations, and maintenance procedures. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies is a plus.

4. Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and drive efficiency. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

5. Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify challenges, analyze situations, and find effective solutions. Aptitude to make quick decisions, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
