Job Description: Head of Sales and Marketing (Automobile Aftermarket-Water Pumps/Oil Pumps)

Scope: Pan-India Operations

Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven and visionary Head of Sales and Marketing to lead and oversee our pan-India operations in the automobile aftermarket segment, focusing on water pumps and oil pumps. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the Indian automotive aftermarket, extensive experience with water and oil pump products, and the ability to spearhead strategies that drive market penetration, revenue growth, and brand recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for pan-India operations, aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities and market trends to position the company as a market leader in the water pump and oil pump segments.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish revenue, profitability, and market share targets.

Sales Operations Management:

  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team across regions, ensuring effective coverage and optimal resource allocation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
  • Monitor and manage the entire sales pipeline, ensuring timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive sales processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.

Marketing Strategy and Execution:

  • Design and oversee marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and product awareness across the Indian market.
  • Develop product positioning strategies tailored to diverse regional markets.
  • Lead digital marketing, branding, and promotional activities to engage customers and drive demand.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and dealer events to strengthen market presence.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, OEMs, and large-scale buyers.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and partners, ensuring a strong understanding of product features and benefits.
  • Implement effective customer feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in products and services.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

  • Conduct market research to understand regional dynamics, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to refine strategies and capitalize on emerging trends.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and production teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Monitor regional performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with a proven track record in the automobile aftermarket, particularly in water pumps and oil pumps.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Indian automotive aftermarket landscape, including key players, distribution channels, and regional dynamics.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive a distributed workforce.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, analytics tools, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Technical expertise in water pumps, oil pumps, and related automotive components.
  • Experience managing large-scale operations with multi-regional teams.
