Senior Manager - Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Role & responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Process Management:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to streamline sales operations, including order processing, inventory management, and logistics.
• Establish and enforce airtight processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all supply chain functions.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Lead and mentor teams in order processing, sales support, third-party quality control coordination, hallmarking, logistics, and dispatch.
• Oversee and manage inventory managers to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing excess inventory and ensuring the availability of high-demand items.

3. Order Processing & Sales Support:

• Oversee the order processing team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with sales support staff to liaise effectively with third-party vendors for quality control and hallmarking services.

4. Logistics & Dispatch Management:

• Manage the logistics and dispatch team to guarantee efficient and timely delivery of products.
• Optimize dispatch routes to enhance delivery performance while managing costs.

5. Inventory Management & Control:

• Develop strategies for effective inventory management, including stock rotation and dead stock minimization.
• Implement robust tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor inventory movements and prevent discrepancies.

6. Process Optimization & Compliance:

• Continuously analyze supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the supply chain.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with design, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
• Work closely with IT and analytics teams to implement and utilize data-driven tools for better supply chain visibility and decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience: 8-12 years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of leading and optimizing operations in the jewelry or luxury goods industry.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, logistics, and quality management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional organizational and process optimization abilities.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
