JOB PURPOSE:
- The Sales Head will be responsible for driving business growth, managing sales operations, and leading the regional sales teams in Rest of Maharashtra (ROM).
- The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the handset and telecom sector, with a strong understanding of retail dynamics.
- The role demands a strategic mindset to expand market share, build strong customer relationships, Retail store expansions and achieve business goals.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market expansion in Rajasthan and ROM.
- Align regional sales strategies with the overall business objectives.
- Lead the team in exploring new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of regional sales managers, ensuring high performance and motivation.
- Set clear performance expectations and KPIs, ensuring consistent team success.
- Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
Market Expansion & Customer Acquisition:
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and business opportunities to drive growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, channel partners, and retail partners.
- Implement customer acquisition and retention strategies to increase market share.
Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Oversee sales operations including forecasting, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing timely reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, finance, and product to streamline operations.
Retail Management & Partnerships:
- Expand retail presence in the region by working closely with retail partners.
- Monitor retail performance, ensuring high-quality service and product availability.
- Collaborate with retail managers to improve in-store branding and promotions.
- Team Building & team productivity.
- Retail Store Expansion in assigning Geography with quality sourcing and cluster development strategy.
Competitor Analysis & Market Insights:
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations for product improvements and new launches.
- Identify competitive threats and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies.
- Monitor adherence to sales policies and ensure ethical conduct across the team.
INTERACTIONS:
Internal Clients:
- Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day-to-day work
- Serve as a liaison between the regional sales teams and senior management, ensuring alignment of goals and strategies.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams such as marketing, finance, product, and customer service to ensure smooth coordination and timely execution of initiatives.
External Clients:
- Roles you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day-to-day work
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including channel partners, retail partners, and distributors.
- Represent the company in negotiations, meetings, and events with external partners and stakeholders.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
Qualification: MBA from a recognized institution or having relevant experience with a Bachelor degree as well.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in the handset and telecom industry, with a focus on sales and retail.
- Strong understanding of the telecom and handset market in Rajasthan and ROM.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving market growth
