Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Responsibilities will include New vendor development and contract validating (castings,
forgings, fabrication parts & machined components).

2. Cross-functional coordination to qualify new components, supporting issues with current
production, developing new suppliers to reduce cost, increase capacity and auditing suppliers to
ensure process conformance.

3. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support. Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects, with results impacting on project completion.

4. Planning of Raw materials, Cost estimation, Knowledge of cutting tools etc, Knowledge of
Quality Management System

5. Responsible for leading the solution for supplier component concerns, driving Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), customer interaction, supplier interaction, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) support, supplier component development and approval and supplier cost improvements

6. Assist with new product launch by working with suppliers to ensure that key milestones are achieved

7. Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process
parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process

A Should have good skills of costing and negotiate cost with supplier along with required quality level.

B Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering discipline, and quality processes.

C Technical background, with ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD
Models.

D Proven experience as a vendor development personnel

E Excellent interpersonal skills requirements

8. Keep up with current and developing
manufacturing and engineering trends that
concern product quality

9. Contribute to continuous improvement activities

10. Provide technical expertise to customers/licensees in solving technical problems
associated with product supply and test facilities

11. Achieve goals within budget

12. Follow-up for manufacturing parts from vendor knowledge of Machine, costing, ERP, Purchasing cycle from procuring to pay (P2P)

13. Must handle end to end purchasing kind of activities

14. Managing and ensuring vendor suppliers and services according to project timelines

 Responsible for market research to identify vendors
 Responsible for timely execution of purchase order to avoid production stoppage
 Responsible for Negotiations, Contract Vetting followup on purchase order and delivery
 Should have knowledge of ISO procedures and documentation
 Hands on experience with ERP software would be preferred
