Firewall Specialist

Role & responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering department to recommend best security practices.
• Define and enforce policies, procedures, and standards related to LAN, WAN, security, and the use of computer and information assets.
• Assist in managing incidents, problems, and changes following ITIL methodology.
• Troubleshoot issues related to firewalls and provide technical assistance to users.
• Monitor network performance and integrity.
• Create & maintain complete technical documentation.
• Works on project implementation.
• Must be willing to participate in on-call support on the nights & weekends as part of the network engineering team supporting Global Infrastructure
• Always complies with the Environment, Health and Safety and Manufacturing Quality standards, rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned.
• Must be familiar with L2 and L3 operation support on a global scale with at least 5 years of experience in planning, implementation, or operation of IP networks.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
• Solid understanding of network security e.g., IDS, IPS, FW, AV, Proxies, DLP, PKI, SSL/TLS, SSL visibility, VPN, wireless security, DDoS, ZTNA, MicroSegmentation etc
• Experience in Palo Alto Panorama
• Sharp & excellent troubleshooting skills
