Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

Responsibilities

• Financial strategy: Developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures
• Financial reporting: Overseeing the preparation of financial reports and statements, and ensuring they are accurate and timely
• Financial planning: Preparing monthly and annual financial plans for the CEO
• Financial controls: Ensuring internal controls are in place and functional
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations
• Investment: Deciding where to invest company funds
• Capital structure: Overseeing the capital structure and optimal financing options for the company
• Cash flow: Tracking cash flow
• Mergers and acquisitions: Identifying investment opportunities and managing mergers and acquisitions
• Growth: Developing plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditure
• Sustainability: Approaching sustainability measures as a growth play
• Talent: Collaborating closely with colleagues to prioritize talent

Skills & Experience

• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
• 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Advanced degree in Accounting
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

CFO, Qualifications :

• A Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• An MBA
• Professional accreditation, such as CPA or CA/CFA
• Extensive experience in senior financial managerial roles
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis, risk management, and forecasting methods
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrit
