Job Description:
- As the Marketing & Business Development Manager, your responsibility is to oversee the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives to enhance the restaurant's brand image and reputation and connect with corporates and individual groups to increase the usage of the restaurant for dining purpose or events or a combination of the same keeping in mind the targeted APC as given by the management.
- With creativity and strategic thinking, you should be able to work with the communications team/agency and craft compelling messaging and promote to various stakeholders the restaurant's unique offerings and experiences.
Duties and responsibilities would include:
- Strategic planning : Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with the restaurant's brand identity and business objectives, utilizing a mix of traditional and digital channels to reach target audiences effectively.
- Media relations: Cultivate relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage and endorsements for the restaurant, pitching story ideas, coordinating interviews, and responding to media inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Content creation: Create engaging content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and visual assets, that showcase the restaurant's culinary offerings, events, and promotions, maintaining consistency in tone and messaging across all platforms.
- Social media management: Manage the restaurant's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, by developing content calendars, monitoring engagement metrics, responding to comments and messages, and implementing strategies to grow and engage the online community.
- Event coordination: Coordinate promotional events, product launches, and media previews, working closely with the culinary team, event planners, and vendors to ensure seamless execution and maximize exposure for the restaurant.
- Crisis communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential reputational risks or issues, monitoring online conversations, drafting response statements, and managing communication with stakeholders during challenging situations.
- Grow Key Accounts: Expand and nurture new and existing customer accounts in the Retail and Hospitality sector, setting the stage for ongoing revenue and future CSM-grade customers.
- Build New Accounts - Proactively develop high-value new business from current non-spenders and secure long-term contracts/agreements for the restaurant.
Skills Required:
- Good knowledge of use of computers and basic programs.
- Humble, hungry and people-smart team player.
- Drive and accountability to achieve agreed targets.
- Well-organized with strong planning and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication and team-management skills, earning respect from team members and keeping a level head when under pressure.
- Ability to consistently remain driven and motivated personally and as a team.
- Strong knowledge of sales and business development tactics.
- Should be from Hospitality background.
- Ability to use initiative in a variety of challenging situations, including when supporting colleagues.
- Must know the Bangalore market.
