Network and Systems Engineer

1. Systems Design & Architecture
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise IT systems and solutions.
• Develop system architectures to align with business goals and technical requirements.
2. Infrastructure Management
• Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and storage systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
3. Security and Compliance
• Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
4. Automation & Scripting
• Create and maintain scripts for system automation and process optimization.
• Utilize tools like Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell for configuration management.
5. Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with development, operations, and project management teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders.
6. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain detailed system documentation, including diagrams and workflows.
• Prepare regular reports on system performance, availability, and updates

Qualifications & Skills

Required:
• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or related roles.
• HPE.Servers and Storage. Hyper-V, with a clustered hypervisor
• Proficiency in operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows Server).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, etc.).
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware VCP).
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Key Responsibilities
1. Network Design and Implementation
• Design and implement secure and scalable network solutions using Cisco technologies.
• Configure and deploy Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Integrate networks with other platforms as required (e.g., cloud services).
2. Network Maintenance and Monitoring
• Perform routine network maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity or latency issues.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical problems involving network infrastructure.
3. Security and Compliance
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company security policies.
4. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and processes.
• Generate reports on network performance and recommend improvements.
5. Collaboration and Training
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
• Mentor junior network engineers and provide training on Cisco technologies.
6. Upgrades and Optimization
• Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Continuously evaluate emerging Cisco technologies to enhance network performance.
