Objective: To be responsible for providing support to the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for young children.
Job Description:
Assisting with lesson planning and curriculum development, including activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Helping to supervise and engage children in activities, such as arts and crafts, music, story time, and outdoor play.
Communicating with parents and guardians regarding their childs progress and any concerns that may arise.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Monitoring childrens behaviour and addressing any issues that arise.
Help to create a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Assist with daily classroom management, including guiding children in following routines, managing transitions, and addressing behavioural issues.
Requirements:
Education- Preferably certified in early years education
Experience - Internships or 0 to 1+ years experience required in pre-primary teaching.
Skill set: Required to be Patient, flexible, organized, patient, innovative, and confident. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and other staff members.
Leadership and management skills, including the ability to supervise and mentor staff members
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain a positive and supportive work environment
