Our client is a 150 year old business conglomerate looking to hire New Business Development / Growth Head to be a part of centralized team based in Chennai.
Responsibilities:
- Building a pipeline of opportunities within identified sectors
- Identifying companies & key decision makers, initiating conversations & meeting such people, convincing them for business alliances with our Group, resulting in opportunities for: Joint Ventures / Strategic partnerships - technology license, brand license, distribution, etc. / Acquisitions / Organic growth.
- New business incubation
- Participate in commercial negotiations
- Assist in deal structuring (commercial, tax, regulatory, legal, etc.)
- Develop a comprehensive GTM strategy (supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, sales & marketing, etc.)
- Facilitate business initiation activities - recruitment, resource planning, roll-out of GTM plan, etc.

- Ability to articulate business ideas & pitch partnership proposals
- Superior networking & communication skills
- Entrepreneurial attitude (positive, daring, go-getter)
- Willingness to learn & ability to grasp new things quickly
Background:
- MBA from Tier 1 institution
- Experience of dealing with senior leaders at leading companies - pitching for business, handling high level queries, successful project delivery, superior relationship management
- Experience of business development activities for new businesses
- Multi-sectoral exposure - ability to understand nuances of various sectors & comprehend different business models
- Around 10 years of relevant experience
- Strategy consulting, Business development (B2B) professionals
- Locally based or native candidates preferred (Chennai / TN)
