Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer specializing in SAP BW and Azure Data Factory (ADF) to lead the migration of SAP BW data to Azure
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data integration, ETL, and cloud data platforms, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP BW-to-Azure migration projects

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the migration of SAP BW data to Azure, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficiency
Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, and other Azure services
Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows between SAP BW and Azure
Work with business and technical stakeholders to analyze data models, define migration strategies, and ensure compliance with data governance policies
Troubleshoot and optimize data movement, processing, and storage across SAP BW, Azure Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics
Implement best practices for performance tuning, security, and cost optimization in Azure-based data solutions
Provide technical leadership in modernizing legacy SAP BW reporting and analytics by leveraging cloud-native Azure solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional teams, data architects, and DevOps engineers, to ensure seamless integration
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) data modeling, ETL, and reporting
5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure data services
Strong expertise in migrating SAP BW data to Azure, including extraction, transformation, and cloud storage optimization
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Spark for data processing and transformation
Experience in Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, and Synapse Analytics for enterprise-scale data warehousing
Knowledge of SAP BW extractors, ODP framework, and integration with Azure services
Hands-on experience with performance tuning and optimizing ETL workflows in Azure
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for data deployments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in an agile environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP BW/4HANA and its integration with Azure
Knowledge of Databricks, Power BI, or other Azure analytics tools
Certification in Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) or SAP BW
Experience in metadata management, data governance, and compliance in cloud environments
