It Support Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Engineer to manage and maintain our on-premises IT infrastructure and cloud services. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of server management, networking, firewall configuration, database administration, and user support. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with teams and resolving technical issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management

• Oversee on-premises IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and firewalls.
• Monitor and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure system reliability.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly.
• Critical system backup monitoring and ensure data security.

User Support

• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving IT service desk tickets.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Train employees on IT best practices and tools when needed.

Database Administration

• Perform database management tasks, including backups, maintenance, and performance optimization.

Windows Active Directory and Office 365

• Administer Windows Active Directory, ensuring proper access controls and security configurations.
• Manage Office 365 services, including email, SharePoint, and collaboration tools. Address user issues related to Office 365 applications and ensure updates are applied.

Security and Compliance

• Configure and manage firewalls to protect the organization's IT assets.
• Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, processes, and configurations.
• Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolution times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networking, and firewalls.
• 3-5 Years experience in IT support and IT infrastructure management
• Hands-on experience with Windows Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
• Proficiency in database administration (e.g., SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent are a plus.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
