Logistics Officer (Guinea - West Africa)

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out packing, crating, warehousing, and storage duties in preparation for site-specific programs and shipment.
• Responsible for tracking, receiving, and stocking all items ordered.
• Ensure materials are appropriately stored.
• Manage and maintain inventory to operating levels to avoid supply.
• Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Update stakeholders on the status of their shipments in transit. Develop reports on cargo movements and various operational logistics issues. Coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations
• Preparing various reports on a weekly/monthly basis related to Finance and export data. Assess existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
• Research potential vendors, compare & evaluate offers, negotiate prices & terms (payment, delivery time, warranty, etc.) Ensure purchase is cost-efficient, correct & high quality, follow timely delivery, physical inspection where required.

Responsible for customs clearance.

• Understanding of the supply chain.
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
• A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of logistics for import, export, shipping, customs clearance, documentation, warehousing.
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to use MS Office, ERP, SAP, Dynamic, PowerPoint, Excel.
