Job Summary:-

The Vice President Solar will lead and oversee the organizations solar energy division, driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence. This senior leadership role involves strategizing, developing, and managing solar projects, ensuring alignment with the companys vision and sustainability goals, and fostering partnerships to expand the organizations footprint in the renewable energy market.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Strategic Leadership:
   
• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the solar division, focusing on market expansion, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and emerging markets in the solar industry.
2. Project Development & Management:
   
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of solar projects, including site selection, feasibility studies, permitting, financing, construction, and operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
3. Business Development:
   
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, suppliers, and customers.
• Develop proposals and negotiate contracts for large-scale solar projects and partnerships.
4. Operational Excellence:
   
• Implement best practices in project management, supply chain management, and technical operations.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in solar technology applications and processes.
5. Team Leadership:
   
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
• Ensure alignment of departmental goals with the broader organizational vision.
6. Regulatory & Compliance:
   
• Stay abreast of local, regional, and international regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and standards.
• Advocate for renewable energy policies and represent the organization in public and industry forums.
7. Financial Oversight:
   
• Develop and manage the budget for the solar division, ensuring profitability and return on investment.
• Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, renewable energy, or a related field (MBA or masters preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in the solar industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale solar projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
