Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Solar Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Execution:
  
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Team Management:
  
• Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.

• Budget & Cost Control:
  
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures to prevent overruns.
• Approve and track project-related expenses, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.

• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.

• Client & Stakeholder Communication:
  
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and align project goals.

• Risk Management:
  
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or failures.
• Implement contingency plans as necessary.

• Documentation & Reporting:
  
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and change orders.
• Provide detailed project progress reports to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field (Masters preferred).
• Proven experience managing solar energy projects, including commercial or utility-scale installations.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical systems, and renewable energy technologies.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory compliance in the solar industry.
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with energy storage systems and hybrid renewable solutions.
• Knowledge of financial modeling for renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with grid interconnection processes and utility protocols.
• Fluency in relevant software such as AutoCAD or PVsyst.

Working Conditions:

• Combination of office and on-site work, requiring occasional travel to project locations.
• Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
