Senior Accounts Payable Specialist (5-8 yrs)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice entry to payment execution

- Liaise with vendors, employees, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and obtain necessary documentation

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for internal and external audits

- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies

- Handle per diem issuance for international travelers and coordinate with employees and the bank

- Manage vendor relationships, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliations

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial operations

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a master's degree in Accounting and Finance

- 5-8.5 years of experience in Indian entity accounts payable

- Profound knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles

- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Experience with ERP systems

- Knowledge of GST/TDS/MSME and other relevant tax regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

- Semi-qualified Chartered Accountancy degree
