Job Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Modeler with 8+ years in the IT industry, specializing in analyzing complex data elements, systems, data flows, dependencies, and relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, with a strong focus on pharmaceutical manufacturing data.

The candidate should have expertise in data warehousing, data mart design, relational database management, and system integration while ensuring efficient data flow architectures. A deep understanding of GxP, FDA regulations, and pharma manufacturing processes is required.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support pharmaceutical manufacturing systems.

- Design relational tables, primary and foreign keys, and stored procedures for effective database structuring.

- Work closely with business analysts, architects, and development teams to define and implement data solutions.

- Create and optimize data warehouse and data mart structures to support analytical and reporting needs.

- Ensure data models align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

- Review and analyze existing data models and physical databases for discrepancies and propose optimization strategies.

- Develop efficient data flow architectures for integrating manufacturing systems, ERP, LIMS, MES, and other pharmaceutical applications.

- Analyze and resolve data-related integration challenges across multiple systems and data sources.

- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) best practices to ensure accurate and seamless data movement.

- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and optimization.

- Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA (21 CFR Part 11), and other regulatory guidelines in data modeling.

- Develop models that support batch records, quality control, supply chain management, and regulatory reporting.

- Ensure traceability and auditability of manufacturing data for compliance audits.

- Work with business users, data analysts, and developers to understand data needs and translate them into scalable models.

- Document data models, metadata, data dictionaries, and business rules for clear communication.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data modelers and analysts.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in IT industry with a focus on data modeling and database design.

- Strong experience in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

- Expertise in data warehouse design, data marts, and OLAP modeling.

- Hands-on experience with data modeling tools like Erwin, ER/Studio, or IBM Data Architect.

- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.

- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

- Proficiency in ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.) and data integration frameworks.

- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including batch processing, quality control, regulatory reporting, and supply chain management.

- Familiarity with GxP, FDA (21 CFR Part 11), and other compliance regulations.

- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience in big data technologies (Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

- Knowledge of AI/ML-driven data modeling for predictive analytics in pharma.

- Certification in data modeling, database management, or cloud platforms is a plus.
