Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler to join our team for a remote contract role. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of IT experience with a strong background in metadata management, data modeling, and data warehousing (DWH). They should have hands-on experience working with Erwin or ER Studio, strong SQL skills, and preferably a background in the banking domain. Experience with Snowflake and AWS is a plus.

Required Skills & Responsibilities :

- Data Modeling & Metadata Management

- 8+ years of experience in metadata management and data modeling.

- Hands-on experience in relational, dimensional, and analytical modeling using RDBMS and data platform technologies.

- Ability to create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise solutions.

- Define and enforce data modeling standards, tools, and best practices.

- Experience in data modeling for Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Big Data platforms in multi-data-center environments.

- Strong experience in data mappings between source system data models and DWH data models.

- Knowledge of NoSQL data modeling is a plus.

Technical & Analytical Skills :

- Expertise in SQL development, including writing complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.

- Experience with ETL and data ingestion processes.

- Ability to work with data architects, business analysts, and development teams to implement data strategies and models.

- Strong analytical mindset to troubleshoot and optimize data models for performance and scalability.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to work proactively and independently, identifying risks and addressing project challenges effectively.

- Work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to align data models with business requirements.

- Document data models, definitions, and design decisions for clear understanding across teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in banking or financial services domain.

- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and AWS.

- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and modeling.

- Familiarity with machine learning and analytics data tools.
