• Role & responsibilities

• Design and Layout
• Create and edit layouts for brochures, reports, magazines, books, advertisements, and other materials.
• Arrange text and images in an aesthetically pleasing and professional manner

• Software Proficiency
• Use desktop publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop, or QuarkXPress.
• Format documents in word processing software like Microsoft Word and Excel when required
• Content Preparation
• Prepare content for printing by ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and font consistency.
• Proofread and edit text and graphics to maintain accuracy and quality

• File Management
• Save and organize files in appropriate formats for print or digital publication.
• Work with printers or publishers to ensure accurate reproduction of designs

• Collaboration
• Work closely with writers, editors, graphic designers, and marketing teams to achieve desired results.
• Incorporate feedback to refine designs and meet project objectives

• Quality Assurance
• Check documents for errors, such as typographical mistakes, alignment issues, or color inconsistencies.
• Ensure documents meet branding and design standards

• Production Support
• Prepare documents for offset, digital, or large-format printing.
• Manage and troubleshoot printing issues to ensure timely delivery of materials

Qualifications and Skills

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or diploma in Desktop Publishing, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in DTP software such as Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of printing processes and file preparation for print.
