Job Description

Reuters is looking for an experienced journalist to help run our legal production desk in Bangalore. You will co-supervise a team of producers tasked with organizing and optimizing the legal content on our website, social platforms and for our clients. You will coordinate with senior legal reporters and editors across the globe to make sure our pages are up to date, accurate and visible to all our users. You will also work strategically with the rest of the production managers to devise and implement efficient production workflows, such as the inclusion of AI, and inspire your team to work effectively and at pace. This role includes shift work, including some overnights.

About the role:

Help supervise a team of legal producers.
Monitor news, global trending stories and our corresponding production output.
Be responsible for the accuracy of all content across all platforms.
Excellent knowledge of editorial production tools and the CMS used to curate content for Reuters.com.
Coordinate daily with legal reporters and editors in the Americas.

About you:

Experience leading a team, formally or informally, in a digital newsroom
A clear understanding of production best practices, including image selection.
Excellent communication, writing and editing skills
The ability to remain calm under pressure.
