Draughtsman Mech

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare accurate technical drawings and detailed schematics for the solar cell manufacturing plant, including production layouts, system components, and machinery.
• Develop and modify mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings to assist in the design and construction of solar cell production equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to understand project requirements and translate them into comprehensive drawings.
• Assist in creating floor plans, electrical wiring diagrams, and other necessary documentation for plant operations and maintenance.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare as-built drawings to reflect the final installation and any changes during construction or setup.
• Create 3D models and use CAD software to design components, layouts, and systems.
• Provide support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of production equipment.
• Assist with the preparation of bills of materials and project specifications.
• Ensure that all designs are cost-effective and meet project timelines.
• Regularly review and update drawings to incorporate changes or improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Certification in Drafting, CAD, or other related qualifications.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Draughtsman, preferably in a manufacturing environment (solar, electrical, mechanical).
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant software).
• Previous experience in solar cell technology or energy systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and blueprints.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 2D/3D CAD software.
• Familiarity with engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of solar energy systems, manufacturing processes, and equipment is an advantage.
