Job Description
JOB PURPOSE

Achieve Cost Reduction Target in terms of Mass (M ), Car line Average ( per Car) & Height (INR) for the range of Renault models as provided by Corporate as well as Renault India Pvt Ltd (RIPL)
Main change driver for Cost management and methods for more agility, wider involvement and accountability. Focus on improved people methods to improve effectiveness.
Enable change management and transformation in Cost reduction to reduce overall Total Delivery cost of the Renault car (TdC)- In order to make the Renault car more profitable

3. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost Reduction is primary contributor every year for the direct profitability/ PMA for Renault India business apart from the Renault Global KPI
Collaborate and synergise across Engineering metiers, Purchase (APO), Costing (ACO), Product planning, Corporate, manufacturing/SCM functions, CVE and across India entities to create avenues for cost reduction and implementation of ideas.
Annual Target setting and cascade to Engineering functions and motivate to them act for building roadmap and add to CRLI funnel with innovative methods.
Make a framework & roadmap of actions to enable m tiers to achieve business targets based 9 levers of Cost reduction.
Establish the cadence of reviews to bring more accountability and wider involvement
Benchmark & interact with global & other regions for learning to horizontally deploy best practices to manage serial life activities, and CR ideas lifecycle from generation to money realization.
Reporting & consolidation of CR ideas and report CR performance to management in weekly and monthly forums.
Articulate and set-up storyline for Global EVP and Regional VP level meetings and status reporting and articulation of India situation.

5. LEVEL OF AUTHORITY
Empowered to manage autonomously all stake holders (Engg metiers, CR pilots, Engg, purchasing - Thanks/LSPM, Plant, Product planning, ISIT, ACO etc. . ) to enable actions under responsibility for cost reduction targets.

7. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVING
Target Setting - Corporate and India business pushed for tall target every year while the Metier s ability to deliver in the Stagnant product range is limited.
KPIs - KPIs and measures are different for different functions e. g. APO, Engg, plant, RIPL. Thus sense of urgency for specific ideas adoption differs.
Customer value & ROI - Select ideas carefully to avoid deterioration of customer value and maximise ROI.
External factors - Supplier supportability challenge due to economic pressure - Weight checking, Line walks
Multiple stakeholders with diverse priority across Functions to ensure idea adoption
Approvals at various milestones e. g. Tech, Commercial, Mfg, VQA, PQA/PSW, Marketability, Test etc.
Point of adoption challenges
Justification for realistically ambitious targets by articulating well in management meetings. Bottom-up and ration logic for target split
Align with each stakeholder upfront with advance planning and key milestones
Techno-commercial evaluation of the idea considering savings, investment (VT, DD, SET) for ROI and PE. Assese customer value Vs saving with Product planning to decide.
Seek Purchasing help and supplier engagement to seek help via ITMM meetings for the year.
Meticulous collaboration and build trust with teams. Situational management .

Stock and product continuity issue to be sorted with live coordination on the shop floor.
8. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATIONAL-QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduate in Automobile/mechanical/EE engineering from Top universities with know-how of production or Industrial engineering at-least in Academics or education.
Preferred General management & Business administration experience.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
12-15 years experience in the area of Automotive Engineering - Localization & cost reduction, Project Management, Vehicle Engineering (dCVE), Chassis/Vehicle engineering, Techno-commercial evaluations & Strategy with know-how of customer performance, Product Planning.
