Job Overview:
The Senior Relationship Manager IFA (Independent Financial Advisors) is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with a network of independent financial advisors (IFAs). This individual will play a key role in driving business growth through effective relationship management, offering investment products and solutions to IFAs, and ensuring exceptional service to meet the needs of financial advisors and their clients. The Senior Relationship Manager will focus on building long-term partnerships, enhancing product knowledge, and supporting IFAs in growing their businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of IFAs and their teams, providing them with the highest level of service.
Act as the primary point of contact for IFAs, addressing their needs, queries, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Regularly meet with IFAs to understand their business needs and deliver tailored solutions to support their goals.
Sales and Business Development:
Drive new business and growth opportunities by promoting the company's investment products and services to IFAs.
Actively seek and identify new IFA partnerships to expand the distribution network and increase market share.
Work closely with IFAs to understand client profiles and investment preferences, recommending suitable investment solutions.
Monitor performance and track sales targets, ensuring business goals are consistently met or exceeded.
Training and Product Knowledge:
Provide ongoing product training and market updates to IFAs, ensuring they are well-equipped with the latest product offerings and industry trends.
Conduct workshops, seminars, and one-on-one training sessions to enhance IFAs understanding of the companys products and services.
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulatory requirements to effectively support IFAs.
Marketing and Client Engagement:
Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials, presentations, and content tailored for IFAs and their clients.
Work closely with IFAs to assist in client presentations, marketing campaigns, and business development strategies.
Organize and attend events, conferences, and seminars to promote the companys offerings and build relationships within the IFA community.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams such as compliance, operations, and product development to ensure smooth onboarding and servicing of IFAs.
Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends, IFA needs, and product improvements to help shape future offerings.
Support compliance and regulatory requirements by ensuring IFAs are kept informed of necessary regulatory changes and guidelines.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports to senior management on progress toward targets, market trends, and business development activities.
Monitor the performance of products and services provided to IFAs, identifying opportunities for improvement and upselling additional solutions.
Problem Resolution:
Proactively address any issues or challenges that arise with IFAs, providing effective and efficient resolutions.
Maintain high levels of satisfaction among IFAs by offering exceptional customer service and acting as a trusted advisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Additional certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) certification would be an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in relationship management, sales, or business development within the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on IFAs.
Proven track record of success in managing and growing relationships with IFAs and achieving sales targets.
Experience with investment products such as mutual funds, structured products, portfolio management, or insurance.
Skills:
Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and investment strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
Personal Attributes:
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Professional demeanor with high ethical standards.
