Executive - HVAC Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Mechanical Engineer to oversee the O&M, and performance optimization of HVAC and Mechanical systems in Jio Institute. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance of building utilities, including HVAC, VRV, Ventilation, Pumps and Plumbing Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HVAC Systems Management

• Oversee VRV systems and ventilation systems.
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies for HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC-related breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.

2. Mechanical & Plumbing Systems

• Supervise pumps and plumbing networks within the facility.
• Ensure smooth operation of water supply systems, domestic pumps and STP systems.
• Oversee maintenance of firefighting pumps and pressurization systems.

3. Energy Management & Optimization

• Analyse HVAC system performance and recommend energy-efficient solutions.
• Work on BMS to monitor and control HVAC parameters.
• Implement retrofits, upgrades, and energy-saving initiatives for sustainable operations.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance.
• Maintain proper documentation for statutory compliance, inspections, and audits.
• Follow workplace safety protocols for mechanical equipment and HVAC operations.

5. Vendor & Contract Management

• Coordinate with AMC service providers for HVAC and mechanical system maintenance.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and manage AMCs.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to SLA.

6. Team & Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with facility management teams to ensure seamless building operations.
• Provide technical support to on-site maintenance teams and HVAC technicians.
• Collaborate with MEP teams for integrated solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC & mechanical systems in high-rise office buildings.
• Prior experience in facility management or building maintenance preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with BMS and HVAC automation.
• Understanding of plumbing, firefighting, and water management systems.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to lead a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
