Library Assistant-Ulwe

Assist and independently operate, as assigned from time to time, all the Jio Institute Digital Librarys (JDL’s) activities, collections, user services, special collections and extension activities etc.;

▪ Assist and will take responsibility to handle the daily operations of all activities pertaining to the library’s smooth operations and services which includes shift duties, assisting in user services (academic support/guidance and research supports) as well as internal and external trainings (user instructions/tutorials/guiding sessions etc.);

▪ Support the library management and assist in leading edge freshmen inductions, time-to-time user orientations as well as library outreach strategy / activities;

▪ Assist in technical processing of books/documents and organize collections with cataloguing and classification (using the various software platforms, special purpose applications, and database management systems in JDL) as well as support creation, assisting in arrangement and maintenance of metadata;

▪ Assist in managing the circulation counter services as well as user services management systems;

▪ Support at the information counter and other duties as per the library’s needs;

▪ Assist and support the Library’s special collection projects, as assigned from time to time;

▪ Any other task or job assigned to the incumbent, by the management, from time to time.
