Work Location : Chennai OMR ( Thoraipakkam )

Notice period : Immediate to 15 / 20 days.

Role & responsibilities : AWS Cloud SeniorEngineer :

• Collaborate with clients to assess their existing IT infrastructure and applications.
• Develop migration strategies and plans tailored to clients' specific needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning for migration projects.

• Implement best practices for security, scalability, and availability in AWS deployments.
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, implementing necessary adjustments.
• Create comprehensive documentation for migration processes, configurations, and best practices.
• Generate regular reports on migration progress, issues, and resolutions for stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed records of configurations and changes made during migrations.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Proficient in Windows Server and Linux Operating System ( Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
• Proficient in Oracle and SQL DB management on AWS Cloud
• Proficient in migrating legacy Dot Net and Java application from onprem to AWS and Rackspace to AWS
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure components.
• Expertise in on-premises infrastructure assessment, virtualization technologies (such as VMware), networking concepts (e.g., VPNs, subnets)
• Experience with migration tools (AWS Server Migration Service, Database Migration Service)
• Security practices (IAM, encryption), scripting/automation (Python, Bash)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security principles in cloud environments.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Powershell, yaml, Python, Bash.
• Good Experience in IAM, encryption, and security best practices for on-premises to cloud data migration.
• Good experience in AWS S3, EBS, and backup services for data migration and recovery.
• Good experience in monitoring and diagnosing issues in both on-premises and AWS environments
