Job Description

Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mall Head to oversee the operations of our shopping mall, with a specific focus on increasing footfalls, enhancing the business performance of retailers, and leveraging leasing expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing mall operations, driving sales growth, and implementing effective marketing strategies. The candidate should reside within 5-7 kilometers from the mall to ensure prompt availability and engagement with the local community.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Footfall Enhancement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase footfalls through innovative marketing campaigns, events, and promotions.
  • Analyze footfall data and customer demographics to tailor initiatives that attract diverse customer segments.

2. Retailer Business Growth:

  • Collaborate with retailers to understand their business needs and develop programs that enhance their sales performance.
  • Organize training and workshops for retailers to improve their sales techniques and customer service standards.

3. Leasing Expertise:

  • Oversee leasing operations, including negotiating lease agreements, identifying potential tenants, and ensuring optimal tenant mix.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends and opportunities in the retail space, ensuring the mall remains competitive.

4. Operational Management:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the mall, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
  • Coordinate with various departments (security, maintenance, marketing, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.

5. Budget Management:

  • Prepare and manage the malls budget, ensuring financial targets are met while optimizing operational costs.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.

6. Community Engagement:

  • Foster strong relationships with the local community, businesses, and stakeholders to promote the mall as a preferred shopping destination.
  • Organize community events and initiatives that enhance the malls visibility and reputation.

7. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring all staff are aligned with the malls goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to enhance team effectiveness.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mall management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of increasing footfall and enhancing retailer performance.
  • Strong understanding of leasing processes and retail market dynamics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Resident within 5-7 kilometers of the mall.
