Job Description
Brief Description
Responsible for drafting, checking and producing quality Coupling ,Torque Limiter drawings using Solid works ,Inventor utilizing drafting principles to support the engineering / sales / marketing / manufacturing teams through producing customer approval drawings, assembly and component drawings. Basic computer skill to navigate and work with applications like salesforce, SAP etc. Flexibility to work overtime, work well with customers, knowledge to turn requirements into specifications are required in this position. Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
Key Accountabilities:
- Produce Coupling drawings for standard and modified couplings, create detailed component drawings and certified prints using Draft sight and Solid works
- Design special components or modify existing components as required by our customers
- Calculate component dimensions, clearances, and tolerances (GDT)
- Identify all components, Prepare Bills of Materials, and any other documents necessary for ordering and processing release of drawings, parts, or specifications
- Check accuracy of the work produced by self and others
- Transfer technical data between Rexnord couplings Group and sub-contractors.
- Monitor status of multiple drafting projects
- Manage the work flow in and out of India for customers overseas. Be the single point of contact for the off-shore customers (US and Europe)
Required:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of prior experience and proficiency with using 3D and 2D CAD software
- Knowledge of PLM, PDM and Microsoft Office applications
- Basic computer skills to work with SAP, Sales Force etc
- Detailed component and complex assembly design experience
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning Tolerance
- Prior experience in power transmission is added advantage
- Ability to write drafting methods and train junior drafters
- Fluency in written and spoken English

- Power Transmission components design/drafting experience.
