Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and implementation of game mechanics, systems, and features, ensuring they align with the overall game vision and player expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the vision and direction of the game, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
- Create detailed design documentation, including game design documents (GDDs), wireframes, and prototypes, to communicate ideas effectively.
- Conduct playtesting sessions and gather feedback to iterate and improve game designs, ensuring a polished and enjoyable player experience.
- Balance gameplay systems to ensure a fun, engaging, and rewarding player experience, while maintaining long-term retention and monetization goals.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth within the team.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and player preferences to incorporate innovative ideas into game designs.
- Work closely with narrative designers, artists, and developers to ensure alignment on the game's vision, goals, and technical feasibility.
- Analyze player behavior and metrics to refine and optimize game designs, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance player engagement.
- Contribute to the creative process by pitching new game ideas, concepts, and features that push the boundaries of player experiences.
- Team Leadership : Build and manage a high-performing design team, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and accountability across all levels.
- System Design : Architect scalable and modular game systems that are easy to maintain, iterate on, and adapt to future updates or expansions.
- Game Design Innovation : Explore and integrate emerging trends such as procedural generation, AI-driven content, and social gameplay mechanics to create unique and memorable experiences.
- Cross-Discipline Collaboration : Act as a bridge between design, engineering, and art teams, ensuring seamless integration of gameplay systems, visuals, and technical requirements.
Qualifications :
- 6-8 years of professional experience in game design, with a focus on gameplay mechanics, systems, and player engagement.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your work on shipped games, particularly in the mobile or free-to-play (F2P) space.
- Deep understanding of game design principles, player psychology, and engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in game design tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
- Experience with prototyping and iterative design processes, with a focus on rapid experimentation and validation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to balance creative vision with technical and business constraints, ensuring designs are both innovative and feasible.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of different game genres, player preferences, and market trends.
- System Design Expertise : Proven experience in designing complex game systems, including economies, progression systems, and multiplayer mechanics.
- Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, manage priorities, and deliver high quality results under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with free-to-play (F2P) game design and monetization strategies, including in-app purchases, ads, and live ops.
- Knowledge of level design, narrative design, and world-building techniques.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Analytics) to interpret player behavior and optimize game performance.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles for games, ensuring intuitive and player-friendly interfaces.
- Game Economy Design : Expertise in designing and balancing virtual economies, currencies, and reward systems.
- Multiplayer Design : Experience in designing competitive or cooperative multiplayer systems, including
