As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will play a critical role in bringing our fanciful mobile products to life. Your collaboration and innovation with visual designers and other engineers will help us to deliver apps to millions of users, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the mobile entertainment space. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a team to define, design, implement, test, release rollout and support application features.
- Work with product owners to crystallize the technical needs during project planning and design phases.
- Decompose high-level requirements from business partners and develop lower level stories/tasks that can be readily assigned to himself and various engineers.
- Stay current with the newest mobile technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations.
- Metrics-driven and know how to track mobile performance over time and proactively address crashes/regressions.
- Ability to reduce tech-debt and have a plan to remove them from the system.
- Develop and maintain high performing, reusable Objective C and Swift code.
- Follow coding standards and guidelines with great attention to performance, scalability, and availability.
- Recruit, interview and hire other iOS engineers as well as screen off-shore contractors to join our team.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers to provide guidance on coding and design best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 5+ years of Apple development experience
- Native mobile application development on iOS with fluency in Objective-C, Swift, UIKit, and Core Foundation.
- A firm grasp of Computer Science fundamentals including object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- You can win the technical respect of the team with your own accomplishments, working in an agile, fast-changing environment, and leading the team to building a great product.
- Deep foundation in computer science combined with demonstrable problem solving aptitude.
- Experience with memory management, profiling, and automatic reference counting.
- Extensive experience with and knowledge of client-server applications and RESTful APIs.
- Applied understanding of resource constraints including battery life, network availability, and other mobile-specific issues.
- Comprehensive understanding of Apple user interface design and standards.
- Has shipped and maintained apps, knowing the ins and outs of the Apple App Store submission process.
BONUS POINTS :
- An eye for design and 2D animation experience with UIKit Dynamics or SpriteKit.
- Strong understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines as well as interaction design best practices.
- Maintained or have significantly contributed to a popular iOS open-source project.
- Has shipped and maintained apps, knowing ins and outs of Apple's submission process.
- Experience with other mobile platforms such as Android or mobile-web development frameworks.
- Experience with 3D development on mobile devices, using OpenGL ES, Metal, or Unity.
