Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled QA Test Automation Engineer with expertise in Cypress / Protractor or Appium to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks for web and mobile applications. Your role will involve working closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure the highest level of quality, performance, and reliability in our software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, as well as proficiency in using modern testing tools like Cypress / Protractor or Appium to automate tests for web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications (Cypress/Protractor) and mobile applications (Appium).
• Build and enhance automation frameworks, ensuring they are reusable, modular, and easy to scale.
• Collaborate with developers to identify and prioritize test cases that can be automated to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Execute automated tests across multiple platforms (web and mobile) and environments, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Report and track test results, including identifying, analyzing, and communicating defects to development teams.
• Conduct performance and load testing, using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar, to ensure that applications perform well under expected load conditions.
• Continuously improve and refactor existing automation scripts to ensure their effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability.
• Work on test data management, creating reusable test data sets for automated tests.

• Proficiency in Cypress, Protractor, and/or Appium for automating web and mobile application testing.
• Strong programming skills in languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, ELK, Grafana).
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Knowledge of REST APIs and tools like Postman or SoapUI for API testing.
• Experience with various testing types, including functional, regression, and integration testing.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong object-oriented design and coding skills.
• Experience with mobile application testing (Android and iOS) using Appium or other mobile testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience in Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud testing solutions.
• Knowledge of Automation Framework Design principles, including modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
• Exposure to other automation tools like Selenium, TestCafe, or Playwright.
• Exposure to retail industry, experience with e-commerce applications.
• This role may require occasional participation in off-hours support for critical testing scenarios or deployments.
