Intern - IT Security Engineer

Job responsibilities

▪ Monitor and handle service requests through the ticketing tool and maintain SLA.

▪ Monitor security alerts and escalate validated and confirmed incidents to L2 engineer.

▪ Assisting and performing vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits

▪ Monitor and maintain anti-malware compliances/detections.

▪ Assist with compliance-related activities.

▪ Staying cyber aware and preparing cyber advisories applicable to products and services

▪ Generate weekly reports from the SIEM platform and send them to L2 engineers for review. Manage licenses, updates, and upgrades for all monitoring tools and systems.

Skills

▪ Should have sound knowledge of endpoint security.

▪ Knowledge of emerging technologies and tactics used within a SOC and how they are applied to improve efficiency and effectiveness Advanced.

▪ Good Network Security knowledge, TCP/IP, Linux, Windows, etc

▪ Experience working as an Incident Responder. Knowledge of various security methodologies and technical security solutions.

▪ Conduct Incident Response Investigations, Incident Response Plans, and Ransomware Incident Response

▪ Understanding of tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with cyber threats and the ability to develop relevant alerting, countermeasures, and threat-hunting techniques.

▪ Analyze data from cybersecurity monitoring tools.

▪ Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to prioritize and execute autonomously. Familiarity with Managed Security Service Providers or SOCaaS experience in a wide variety of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, web application firewalls, malware protection, SIEM, EDR, NDR, forensics, etc

▪ Should be comfortable working with different teams and have good communication skills.

▪ Should be willing in rotation shifts.

Qualifications

▪ B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology ,strong exposure to IT Security concepts and practices.

▪ Knowledge with Web, Windows, and Linux functionalities.
