Tendering, Planning & Estimation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Tender Preparation:
  
• Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements and scope.
• Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to develop technical and commercial proposals that meet client needs and specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive tender documents, including cost estimates, bill of quantities, and technical proposals, in accordance with tender requirements and deadlines.
• Cost Estimation:
  
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and estimation for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses based on project specifications and requirements.
• Utilize cost estimation software and tools to generate accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders and projects.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions to enhance competitiveness while maintaining quality standards.
• Bid Management:
  
• Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to gather necessary information and inputs for tender submissions.
• Develop pricing strategies and prepare commercial proposals that align with company objectives and client expectations.
• Review and analyze tender documents, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Negotiation and Contract Management:
  
• Participate in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to finalize contract terms and pricing agreements.
• Evaluate contractual risks and opportunities and propose mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
• Prepare and review contract documents, including terms and conditions, payment schedules, and performance guarantees.
• Relationship Management:
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and support business development efforts.
• Provide support to the sales team during client presentations, meetings, and negotiations to address technical and commercial inquiries.
• Continuous Improvement:
  
• Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains in the tendering and estimation process.
• Develop and implement best practices, standard procedures, and tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency
